“European Food Forum starts off today as a debate forum for all the actors involved in food in its broadest sense. As a co-founder member, in this brief review I would like to recall also the fishing, the extractive and the aquaculture sectors, as essential food actors in Europe – and which cannot be neglected in the debates of this platform that is born today to deepen in an open dialogue to accommodate all the actors in the chain in the widest terms. I sincerely hope that this will help us pave the way towards a true EU Food Policy that will benefit all citizens.”
