“In the framework of the Farm to Fork Strategy, the European Commission proposes the definition of a Code Of Conduct for responsible business and marketing practices. The aim of this Code is to support the transition to a more sustainable EU Food system, and also to ease consumers’ choices for healthy and sustainable diets, asking actors along the food chain to engage themselves to respect this code. Stakeholders involved will be invited to sign the Code that should cover all major aspects of food systems sustainability: economic, social, and environmental in order to reach the goals defined in the Farm To Fork strategy. This Code will exist in parallel to the Unfair trading practices directive and other sectors relevant legislation and aims to frame the positive impact business can make towards the F2F goals.
